Our fighters

Muay Thai is an ancient form of martial arts that originated in Thailand and is currently one of the fastest growing sports in the world! Muay Thai is not only superior for the ring but also a good way to learn self-defense, and is a great way to stay in shape. Muay Thai uses the whole body as a weapon, allowing strikes with the fists, elbows, knees, shins, and feet. These high energy classes combine modern calisthenics and ancient technique, allowing you to reach a maximum level of fitness.

4/4/11 - We've moved! GriffonRawl has now consolidated all of it's classes at Westchase Impact Martial Arts. Also, we now offer a Beginner's Class, so be sure to check out the Classes tab above for hours and the Locations tab for directions. 3/12/11 - Come watch Alyssa McNabb and Troy Taylor fight at the Battle of Tampa Bay XVII on March 26th, 2011 at the St. Petersburg Coliseum in Downtown St. Pete. Doors open at 6pm!

10/18/10 - Two wins for two GriffonRawl fighters in a night of domination! Troy and Alyssa both won their fights Saturday night in a convincing fashion, knocking down their opponents every round! Troy won by unanimous decision while Alyssa won by referee stoppage in the third round. Congrats to both!

10/16/10 - Please join us tonight at the Warrior Classic 7 at the West Tampa Convention Center to support Alyssa McNabb and Troy Taylor as they both compete! Chok dee!

7/22/10 - Good luck to all the GriffonRawl fighters competing in the IKF World Classic tournament this weekend: Alyssa McNabb, Troy Taylor, and Telly Wells!

5/15/10 - Alyssa McNabb and Troy Taylor of GriffonRawl both won their fights! Congrats!

4/3/10 - Congratulations once again to Paul Barrow of Gracie Tampa on his win at the Art of Fighting with a 1st round arm bar! 3-0!

3/2/10 - Congratulations to Paul Barrow of Gracie Tampa on his win in Friday night's RFC 20!

2/23/10 - Congratulations to Donny Walker and the rest of the GriffonRawl Ohio team for going 3-0 at the NAAFS fights on Saturday night! Donny got fight of the night!

2/19/10 - Congratulations to Josh Best and Aalon Cruz of Gracie Tampa on their wins tonight! Both having their debut fights against experienced opponents, Josh won by unanimous decision and Aalon won by 3rd round TKO!

12/22/09 - We've moved! We're now working with world-renowned Gracie Tampa at two of their locations: Gracie South and Gracie West. Check out the Locations and Classes tabs above to find out where and when! We're looking to add weekend classes soon, so stay tuned!

7/24/09 - Good luck to all the GriffonRawl team members entering the IKF Tournament in Orlando this weekend! Bring home some belts!

7/19/09 - Congratulations to Vince McGuinnes on winning the ISKA Welterweight Florida state title, Oriental Rules division, at the Warrior Classic. He won with a unanimous decision in a great championship match. Pictures will be posted soon. Thanks to everyone who came out to cheer our fighters on!

7/12/09 - On Saturday, 7/18/09, GriffonRawl will have some of its fighters competing in the Warrior Classic at the Marriott Waterside in Downtown Tampa. Doors open at 6pm! Good luck to Vince and Troy!

7/9/09 - Upcoming GriffonRawl and Gracie Tampa gathering on Saturday, July 11th, at the Buffalo Wild Wings on Hillsborough near TNL to watch UFC 100! Be there!

7/1/09 - Kru Rawlings just got back from a 5 day trip to NJ for a long and intense training session with Kru Dave Valaro and Kru Kaensak at Valaro's Muay Thai.

5/28/09 - No class Friday or Saturday due to the fights in Orlando on Friday night. Good luck to Ryan, Telly, and Vince! Chok dee!

5/3/09 - Dan Rawlings took a trip up to GriffonRawl Ohio and held a great seminar with our brothers and sisters up there. Hope to see you all again soon!

3/16/09 - Members only forums are up! You have to register and be approved by us to post or even see them.

3/16/09 - No class tonight in Tampa, but TNL will be open. Class on Wednesday!

3/14/09 - Congratulations to Troy Taylor on taking 1st place in the Lightweight weight class for the No-Gi Intermediate competition at the Copa American World Championships!
